Draft. The cinnamon and chicory are both apparent. A hint of licorice over apple pie, bpozy but not too much. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Mead Flight at Bad Apple (Chicago, IL). Pours a richer amber pour, gentle haze, reddish pink glow hits the body. Small frothy head dies to nothing, laces minimally. Fun color. Aromas are cinnamon and apples, firm cinnamon, and gentle touch of Big Red, some sweetness, honey and apples, firm sweetness underneath. The spiciness combats it, gentle vanilla. Initial is a bit intense up front, big cinnamon and apple combo, not overly spicy, well integrated. Apples, mellow honey, firm apple presence into the middle where some body shows some presence. As we roll into the backend, cinnamon starts to take over again, a bit spicy and earthy, telltale cinnamon applesauce. Finish is spicy cinnamon, apple, a touch herbal and potpourri like intensity. Pretty damn solid mead. Tasty. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Sampled at Bad Apple. Pours a clear orangish gold with a pink hue and no head whatsoever. Aroma has strong cinnamon with a nice honey and apple backbone. Flavor has a great combination of apple cinnamon with a nice supporting honey note. MeadMe (1661) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Huge thanks to Adam (the alum) and Jessica for leaving this one for me after Hunahpus. Pours a cloudy orange. Aromas are bold apple pie skies with a nice honey sweetness. Flavor is nice sweet honey up front. It quickly becomes dominated with pie spices. The cinnamon really stands out and remains long after taking a sip. Only flaw is its a bit on the thin side. Wonderful mead! jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 27, 2013

Bottle courtesy of Clockwork at his Dec 8th 2012 tasting. Pours a hazy orange with no head. Aroma is crazy spices, honey, apple and pear. Mouthfeel is medium to full with notes of apple cinnamon pie, spice, honey and sugar. Wonderful mead. blipp (9278) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Bottle. Pours gold with a little bit of a head. Fruity apple, honey, and cinnamon. Like delicious liquid apple pie. j12601 (12000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Bottle at a tasting at James’s place. Pours a hazed golden amber. Smells of a pile of cinnamon. Big bright cinnamon on the nose, big apples and a lot of spice. Medium bodied, big and spicy, loads of cinnamon. Never gets to the Fireball level, but so well developed. Amazing stuff. Lovely balance of spice and apples with honey. Very well done. jtclockwork (16600) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Bottle. Pours golden orange. Nose and taste of lightly roasted apples, apple pie, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Medium body. Finishes with toasted cinnamon covered apples. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2010
On tap at bad apple. 6oz pour into a snifter... Pours a mostly trans orange Copper brown even with a thin bubbly head... Aroma is aplenty with honey and apple with cinammon to a lesser extent but comes through more after warming up to room temperature... Flavors are a complete recopy of the aroma with a body a tad on the thinner side. Nice flavors but body somewhat lacking overall. still tasty and a nice surprise to find on tap.
