6oz serving @ Farmhouse, Evanston. Deep orange Amber, still, with nice viscosity. Aroma of vanilla, dates, cooked apples (I know it’s a mead), light spice. Sweet, sticky palate that mirrors the nose. Very sherry-like, complex. Perfect for desert. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Pours golden. Aroma is rich honey, vanilla, and light booze. Taste is full and sweet fresh comb honey. Build apple and hints of caramel. Light oak and subtle vanilla. Hints of booze. So good. Fuller in body, rich, smooth. onceblind (9419) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 3, 2014
Clear dark golden with a sticky sweet nose, and a touch of oak char and bourbon. The flavor is big, warm, floral, and a touch earthy citrusy. Nice oak char melds with the sticky sweetness.

Bottle at Tony/Jim BA Birthday Extravaganza 2013 (Western Springs, IL). Pours a welll hazed amber maple hue, gentle smoked honey glow on the edges with a darker more oak enriched body. Mellow haze, loose head dies down. Skant lacing. Aromas are firm apples, oak, vanilla. Gentle pear, sweet honey and gentle clover. Earthy, apple cider, touches of oak and whiskey. Mellow vanilla grows, potent fruit element. Initial is medium bodied, gentle spiciness as apple meets firmer honey. Touches of spice, warmth, whiskey and oak tannins as we hit the middle. Some apples, gentle cidery feel. A firmer body upfront tapers out toa thinner more warm backend. Some spice, whiskey, gentle warmth makes the face a bit flush. Touches of vanilla, softened honey and fruit. A touch of menthol xoolness, oak, and gentle earthy bite as we finish up. Quality stuff, a bit disjointed but flows in quite a complex way. Poured clear dark amber color. Light on the aroma but sweet. Smooth with power packed sweet honey bourbon taste. Intense. deyholla (11503) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear syrup like amber with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a nice sweet bourbon note that melds nicely with the honey and has just a touch of dryness. Flavor has the same nice combination of sweet honey and sweet bourbon that is slightly warming with a hint of dryness. hotstuff (5142) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Backlog rating 12-13-2008. (Bottle) This Mead pours a very, very small head, clear body and a yellow hue. The aroma is sweet, honey and hints of bourbon. The taste mimics the aroma. The palate is tingly and this is a full bodied Mead. Overall, this is a very tasty Mead, worthy of a try and one that I would drink again. fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2012

Yellow color, with a light golden hue. The aroma is interesting, with alcohol, spices, strong bourbon vanilla; brutal in the front, elegant later. Good body strength, with medium sweetness; honey flavor, with strong alcohol presence, medium character of oak, even vinous; the final has some light bitterness and alight herbal character.
Very good, a bit over the top.
