While not quite hating this as much as the last review (on another site), I do agree that it sucks. Firestone proved they can brew decent beer on the cheap for tjs but this is garbage. The dominant aroma and flavor is cardboard and stale hops ( what little there is). GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - JAN 16, 2008
Yes, that’s my bottle in the picture. Yes, I’m lucky enough to be the first to rate this shit on BP. And yes, this beer sucks. It’s like drinking some sort of yeast drink. Like someone dissolved a bunch of yeast into a mineral water and said, "here ya go!" An aroma of yeast. No malts, no hops, no skanky shit smell...just...bready malts. Flavor is exactly the same. Yeast in the nose, yeast in the taste. WTF happened when they brewers at GI were making this shit? Did they fall asleep? Did they have Bobby the newbie brewer making this? Nothing about this tells me it’s a pale ale. Hell, it barely even says it’s a beer let along a pale ale. Luckily, I got it for about .50 cents at a Grocery Outlet. And to top it off, I can’t even reuse the bottle for a homebrew because it’s a fuckin’ twist-off. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - DEC 6, 2004
Bottle. Pale clear, white head. Floral fruity hop aroma. Floral hoppy flavor wiith a suprisingly nice malt backbone. Malt does linger more than hops. Decent and drinkable. Bolt (117) - Boulder Creek, California, USA - SEP 23, 2004
Easy drinking IPA with a fresh aroma. Not overly powering with the hops, but not weak either... the taste is the same. Tried at room temp. Like stated below, I found this sixer at the Grocery Outlet, in Felton Ca. I couldn’t pass up a new beer for 3.50.
Great beer for the price. I do wonder though... How many Wild Boar is located near "Wild Boar Brewing Company Chicago Illinois" I won’t worry about it... I’ll take a six-pack on my next hunt. Regards, Bolt

Bought at the cheap canned food grocery outlet..in brown 12 oz long neck.
Em this is a very pale looking pale ale..it is golden with a largish white head..leaves good lacing.
The aroma is mostly of sherbery hops though some of the sweet malt smells do come through..seems fresh.
The taste is mostly dominated by the very sweet malt..tghough later as it warms the hops come through.
Actually feels pretty good and creamy on the palate.
An easy drinking ale..reminds me more of a Cream Ale thgough.

A nice balance of malts and hops. It does have a earthy, pine needle flavor that inhances the other falvors. A middle of the road Pale Ale, but nice for the price.
