33cl bottle. Glugs thickly, blackly, unwillingly. Nice nose of charred pine, resin. By contrast tastes rather flat and watery, but OK.

Bottle, from the brewery. Dark brown colour, white foam. A relatively sweet dark beer, hints of chocolate but also cola and pumpernickel. Medium finish. Slightly unusual but not unpleasant.

On tap at Pint Shop, Oxford. 1/2 pint. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malt, mild bitter cocoa, and smoked notes. Mild aroma. Taste: roasted malt, mild coffee, mild bitter cocoa, mild cream flavours. Mild flavoured but pleasant. Medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Mild lingering bitterness. A very decent porter, not amazing, but very easy drinking.

Bottle. Umm nice. Black n colour with an aroma of Blackjacks. Hint of mango/pineapple to start with a nice sweet body followed by roasted malt.

3.2
Kauge (2133) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 10, 2017
Bottle from City Beverage in London. BB 19.07.2017. 4.7%. Dark brown with thick tan head. Sourish fruity, chocolaty, bready, yeasty? aroma. Tastes sourish roasty, modest sweetness, some bitterness, dark chocolate. Dry roasty finish. Light on the palate, fine fizzy carbonation. A bit rough, archaic, not too elegant and not very much to my liking but not bad either!
