From notes. Tasted on draft at the Yazoo tap room a few different times over the past couple years. Pours murky dark brown with a thin tan head that quickly disappears. The nose is dark chocolate, some smoke, vinous cherry, a touch of vanilla, and some nutty funk. The flavor is a bit more nutty funk with touches of molasses, dark chocolate, vinous tart cherry, but the smoke is almost nearly covered up. The body is full with light carbonation and a long funky tart dark chocolate finish. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - JUN 21, 2013
Quite complex with a nice tartness, high acidity, smoke, and roasty malt presence. Has hints of dark fruit / cherries.

Several pours from bottle at Savor, 06/15/2013. Pours dark brown, little head, hazy crema on the surface. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, light caramel, finishes with soft tart cherries, mild funk. Taste mostly follows suit- rich chocolate malts, medium roast, light vanilla, wood, mild tart fruitiness, funk, oaky finish. Medium body, nice carbonation, very drinkable and a bit addictive. The wild character is not overly aggressive, allowing the nice stout and barrel elements to stand on their own. Really nice. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Poured a mahogany color with a small sized off white head. Dark fruits, cherries, funky, some vinous qualities, and berries. Very drinkable. Decostadrinks (12) - - MAY 10, 2013
Dark in color with a tan head. Smooth and smoky with a wild flavor that turns into sour. Really interesting beer that is almost wine like in the mouth. One of the better dark sours I’ve sampled.

Chocolate, mint resin, not hop resin, but the resin you would use on a violin bow. It has a dank earthiness to it, but doesn’t really jive, the flavors aren’t really melding. Maybe with some age it will really smooth out.
