COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our head brewers second signature beer, the dark bronze colored ale starts full-bodied with rich caramel malt swimming in bountiful hop character leading to a dry finish amid hints of alcohol heat. This Pacific Northwest interpretation of an English-style strong ale combines the malty characteristics of a winter warmer with a generous hop rate.

Medium red gold in color. Only a medium malt flavor, and in my opinion, way to hoppy for a strong ale (at least I perceive a Strong Ale should be sweet and malty, with a more mild hop profile). If you removed the Strong Ale categorization from this beer, it would be an average American Pale Ale with some darker malts added for color.

I almost hate to put such a fantastically descriptive rating down but here goes: good, complex, malt-accented strong ale. Helpful, aint it?

A decent strong ale, done the way I like it. Malty, but not overdone. (Im so exited I am the second person to rate this right behind Oakes!)
