Very dark brown, nice foamy beige head. Kind of nutty aroma, and fairly toasty. Lightly charred flavor, some understated sweet notes. Not horrible. NomDeBeer (414) - Maryland, USA - APR 12, 2009
Nice brown color with no head. Aroma is baked bread, and nuts. Taste is the same plus honey and caramel. Dry finish. I’m not enjoying this. biznizness (1128) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 8, 2009
Beer of the month. Tasty dark lager. All you nut lovers will enjoy this. I do think it’s pretty cool that the club sends beers like this that only have a few dozen ratings. I’m sure I would never have tasted this beer otherwise. dwyerpg (6410) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 5, 2009
Quite nutty aroma, some smoke. No head. Taste is nutty, smoky and yet flat like the head. Might be quite good if it still had some carbonation left. Tmoney99 (14952) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2009
Bottle from Party Town, KY.
Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium balanced bittersweet flavor with medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Worth trying agian.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice amber brown with a effervescent, tan head. Roasted malt and coffee notes dominate the nose. Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel. The taste is very clean with roasted malt, nuts, a little coffee, and a little hop bitterness. Overall very drinkable and clean. astrofrk (341) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 22, 2009

Savannah, Ga. Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 pk - part of variety 12 pack. Dark brown pour, tight off white head. Good nutty aroma with hints of cocoa. Flavor has some solid nutty accents with some chocolate notes. Thickish, creamy mouthfeel - especially for a lager. Pretty decent. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2009
Dark brown with a uick light tan head. Aroma is thin nuttiness and sweet malt. Taste is lightly nutty and malty up front with a big chocolate note in the finish. agillespie81 (315) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 22, 2009
Very dark brown...almost completely opaque. Thick, creamy head. Mild malt aroma. Faint malt taste in the front...slightly crisp mouthfeel. Hop bitterness quickly drowns out the back. Finish is long and tart. Somewhat more bitter than the style suggests, though not bad drinking.
