From a 12 oz. bottle. Color is dark brown but clear if held against the light. Pours a medium dense tan head that falls quickly. The aroma is sweet malty with traces of brown sugar, liquorice, milk chocolate and coffee. The taste is sweet and creamy at first rounding into some light roast flavours at the end. There is no taste of smoke or any heavy roast flavours. Also no distinguishable taste of oatmeal, which I had hoped for. Soft and smooth mouthfeel, creamy and round with a fairly light body. It’s a nice and easily drinkable stout but a little on the light side regarding body and roasted flavours if you ask me.

Slight aroma of green apples and some whiffs of chemical. Dark red, mahogany color. Chunky off-white head with Lingering lace like cottage cheese. Watery, but not harshly over-carbonated body. Smooth but thin. Roasted dry malt flavors and a dry, hopped finish.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2010 Would be a higher score if price was considered. $6.50 for a warm sixer at liquor stores in Maryland. Medium sweetness, creamy, good summertime stout. Tastes awesome with seafood.

I was expecting so much more as I love most of what Wild Goose has to offer. I was very disappointed. It's not a bad beer, it's just not spectacular. Very average oatmeal stout.

Good flavors, fairly mild for a stout. Would be great if it was thicker, as it is it’s too watery.

At 21 I’m a newbie to the world of beer tasting, but I’ve become infatuated with stouts. Wild Goose has a rich flavor and smooth after taste. This is definatly worth a try.

Pours very dark brown with little to no head. Aroma has a slight roasted note. Had a hint of roast and chocolate flavor. Smooth drinking with flavor disappearing quickly. Overall a good tasting brew.
