Poured a dark brown with ruby highlights. Light brown head dissipated rather quickly. Nice roastinedd and bitterness, but ballanced a little to far to the sweet side for me. Rather clean finish.
From old tasting notes. Deep mahogany brown color. Thick creamy tan head. Spicy roasted malt nose hints at chocolate and toffee. Rich roasted malt flavor with a buttery mouthfeel. Pleasant malty finish. A delicious Porter. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2011
A simple basic one dimensional porter. Yet, enjoyable and drinkable. This brewery makes some good brews. Taste of roasted malt, tastes creamy, nice finish. Very flavorful, I would drink this again and again! jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 10, 2010

12 oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with ruby red highlights, and a one finger brown head. The aroma was roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor was strong with chocolate, roasted coffee and a bitter finish. This was a much better offering than the oatmeal stout. Would drink this one again.

Pours very nice deep red color with small tan head. Nice aroma of roasted chocolate malt, but somewhat faint. Flavor is similar, good creamy roasted chocolate flavor with a nice bitterness for excellent balance. Decent beer with good flavor, but a little light on aroma and body. Oct. 2007 - Dark pour, pinky finger head and lacing. Weak aroma of roast. Flavor was smooth and chocolatey, with some roasted coffee. Not overly strong, but smooth going down. Not bad. TrefwoordPunk (1302) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2008
Bottle 12 fl. oz. Pours a reddish black with a small tan head and a sweet dark chocolate-like aroma. The flavor is sweet, chocolate-like with burned malts and bitterness too. The finish is a tad bitter and sweet creamy. Nice beer Hance07 (192) - DownSouth, Georgia, USA - JAN 19, 2008
Pours dark brown with small tan head. Roasted malt on the nose. Taste is some roasted malt with a creamy finish. A little bit of bitterness is present also. Very enjoyable beer. Cletus (6368) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 3, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Dorwart. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells vegetal with some chocolate and spice. Tastes of chocolate with some underlying spice, but it’s hard to get past the grassy quality this beer seems to possess.
