3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 Pretty strong aroma of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). Poured an orange color with a small white head. Good upfront spicy flavors; the pumpkin flavor comes in more towards the end. Was a little thin. A pleasant surprise.
One of the better pumpkin beers I have tried. Not overly spicy, yet with enough pumpkin to make it a pumpkin beer. It pours a nice golden orange with a decent white head. Pumpkin and spices mingle with the grainy malt to comprise the aroma. Flavour is malty with pumpkin and spices to round it all out. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2011
The beer pours dark amber caramel with a small bubbly off white head. The aroma is amazing - a bit sweet with lots of Thanksgiving spices blended well to please the nose. The flavor is malty, a bit sweet and pumpkiny, with some nice dark wheat almost light brown sugar or caramel notes to settle on the palate. Medium smooth body as well. obguthr (6925) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 17, 2010
Year old bottle: Faint aroma of cinnamon and clove. Clear copper, floaties, no head. Clove initially, pleasantly sweet. Cinnamon finish. Well balanced and one of the best proportions of spices I’ve had in a beer. Cinnamon is most prominent. I didn’t detect pumpkin, which is perfectly fine by me. Holds up surprisingly well after a year. madmitch76 (26850) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2010
10th October 2008. GABF. Clear gold beer. Dry palate. Spicy but not overwhelmingly so and allows a little pumpkin to come through. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - DEC 10, 2009
12oz bottle. Aroma of freshly baked pumpkin pie. Deep caramel, appropriately spiced with pie spice, and a nice noble hops with a touch of complex malt (aroma of the pie crust). Pours Medium orange, white head. Looks medium bodied. A nice appearance. Flavor of spiced squash. Wow. Lots of squash flavor. A nice malt character in the finish, well balanced with a mellow hop bitterness. I think most of the flavor and a touch of the bitterness comes out of the pumpkin. Overall, Very flavorful. A touch of nutmeg and cinnamon spice in the finish and not too overwhelming. A very nice surprise. I love pumpkins!

12oz bottle: pours orange color withs light head. Aroma is pumpkin and spices. Flavor is mild spices and a nice pumpkin after taste. Good style without the over powering spices. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - NOV 17, 2009
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear copper pour with almost no head or lacing. Mild aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, and allspice. Flavor is a very sweet and smooth blend of pumpkin and spices. Pumpkin pie flavor is light as is the spice. Well balanced and one element doesn’t overpower the others. Nice. surfmurf (85) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 18, 2009
Loved this! Not too sweet but a faint fruity smell, nice foamy head but not too frothy with a nice lacing. Great deep brown color and very fragrant. I thought on tap this was very pricy @ $4.00 a glass but I did have 3 so it must have been good.
