Bottle shared downtown during RBWG 2014 - Asheville Late-Nite. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a bubbly, off-white head. Rich malts in the nose, figs, ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor with robust bready malt character, dates, moderate toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with sticky sugars, ripe fruits, brown sugar, toffee, plums. Ticks all the quad boxes. Solid overall. Oakes (19370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 4, 2014
Hazy dull light brown, aroma is malty lightly fruity, good hop balance, a light fruity tartness, spicy...I like this. The unfiltererd character is quality. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 11, 2016
Bottle shared at the MDBG tasting 4/4/16. Rating 11.7k! Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tart cherries and bandaid. The taste is cherries and toffee. Thin bodied, very highly carbonated. Something strange is afoot here.

Draft. Damrk brown pour. This is boozy and raisiny a bit thin and fuselly quite strong. slowrunner77 (13205) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAY 5, 2016
Quite the foamer right out of the bottle. Had to wait some time to finish pouring gently and let sit. Still very gassy after swirling to try and knock out some of the prickly carbonation, but it was never totally right. Had nice notes of dark pitted fruits in the nose and flavor. The back end of the flavor had a slight astringency holding it back. Could be very good, but it seems I got an off one. deyholla (12583) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 17, 2011
On tap at ATL taco Mac. Pours a hazy deep dark orangish amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of dark fruit with spices, a bit of dark grain and a hint of backing alcohol. Flavor has dark fruits and grains with a hint of spice and a good amount of alcohol in the finish. Bottle. Murky deep amber pour with a small light cream head. Aroma is dark fruit, red wine - but not terribly strong. Taste is boozy right away, then kind of a blend (borderline muddled) of dark fruit, vanilla, more sweetness probably coming from the booze). This isn’t bad, but it just doesn’t seem to pull together all that well either.
