Bottle shared downtown during RBWG 2014 - Asheville Late-Nite. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a bubbly, off-white head. Rich malts in the nose, figs, ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor with robust bready malt character, dates, moderate toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with sticky sugars, ripe fruits, brown sugar, toffee, plums. Ticks all the quad boxes. Solid overall. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 4, 2014
Hazy dull light brown, aroma is malty lightly fruity, good hop balance, a light fruity tartness, spicy...I like this. The unfiltererd character is quality. Drake (13739) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 11, 2016
Bottle shared at the MDBG tasting 4/4/16. Rating 11.7k! Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tart cherries and bandaid. The taste is cherries and toffee. Thin bodied, very highly carbonated. Something strange is afoot here.

Quite the foamer right out of the bottle. Had to wait some time to finish pouring gently and let sit. Still very gassy after swirling to try and knock out some of the prickly carbonation, but it was never totally right. Had nice notes of dark pitted fruits in the nose and flavor. The back end of the flavor had a slight astringency holding it back. Could be very good, but it seems I got an off one. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 17, 2011

I would like to rerate this beer.
Bottle @ RBWG Fart Share. Pours a hazy reddish orange appearance with a brown head. Powder cocoa, dark fruity, caramel aroma. Some bubblegum. Fairly heavy banana. A bit strong on booze and banana but I guess it does taste like a banana split.
