COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who says lighter beers have to be boring? Let There Be Light is Wild Heaven’s first “sessionable” beer, coming in at only 4.7%, yet FULL of flavor. Starting with both barley and wheat, we added two rare hops—Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace—along with a bit of orange peel, to create a complex beer with a citrus note that will change the way you think about “light” beer.

Suggested food pairings: Wings, fish & chips, Tomme-style cheese, brunch (the citrus picks up nicely), burgers. 7.3 SRM.

Note: Formerly contract brewed at Thomas Creek.

phaleslu (10668) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Draft at World of Beer in Savannah. Pours a clear, bright gold with a small white head. Surprising hops on the aroma, with some grass, lemon, wheat, and orange peel. Flavor of wheat, crackers, straw, grass, and citrus. Light body, mellow carbonation, malty and wheaty mouthfeel. Nice sessionable beer.

drowland (9057) - Georgia, USA - JUN 13, 2015
5/30/15. On tap at World of Beer, Savannah. Copper, almost amber, pour under a small khaki head, mild lacing. Nice aroma, loads of citrus, some orange and lemon peel, dank, a small balance of doughy and caramel malts are welcome. The flavor is a bit disappointing, just generic bitterness, more of the rich maltiness coming through, caramel, doughy, a hint of nuttiness, some leafy green hops. Not bad.

Tap at lazy dog. Pours clear amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is bready and toasted malts, faint woodiness, faint spice, light pear. Flavor is malt forward with faint caramel, faint apple esters, and light hop bitterness; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

3.5
Cybercat (6145) - Georgia, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Pours a clear dark golden with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled pale golden tan head. Aroma has malty, wheaty and fruity tones with a woody hint of hops. Flavor has a malty core plus fruity and wheaty/yeasty notes and a woody hop tone that suggests it was dry-hopped. Texture has good body and fizz. This is definitely a good beer for sipping on a hot day while relaxing on the porch.

snoworsummer (6071) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Draft at Lazy Dog. Pours clear copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like creamy buttery, nutty malt. Light.body and low/medium carbonation. Smells nutty, buttery, musky.

3.6
chinchill (5314) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 31, 2016
From a bottle. Foamy off-white head. Soft, foamy feel that seems just right for this beer. Well balanced and nicely nutty. Goes down very easy. Overall: while I have been generally disappointed with this brewery, this one is a winner.
