Poured from the tap into a tulip glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a dark brown color with a small off-white colored head. The aroma is a blend of oak, toasted malt and a slight fragrance of vanilla. The taste is very similar to the nose but with very little oak in the mix. A very nice beer. kramer (6908) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2017
Tap. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small wispy beige head. The nose is coffee and nutty malt with some light vanilla and wood. The flavor is really nice, the sweetness is pretty well in check, nice chocolate and cocoa with just a bit of wood. Not boozy at all. Just a slight hint of alcohol on the finish. Medium bodied with just a slight cling and soft carbonation. Good stuff. nearbeer (5636) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 2, 2016
650 ml. bottled 11/06/2015. Lightly hazy copper body with a quarter-inch disc of beady bubbles on top. Nose is earthy potato, cocoa, toffee, fig and a hint of booze. Flavor is sourish orange toffee, cocoa, wood, booze, vanilla and occasionally some unsettling earthy potato. Long finish has some lighlty minty herb. Medium-heavy body has medium-plus carbonation that remains mostly smooth, and a drinkable balance. Shows a bit more than 8.2% abv and is a major disappointment compared to the base beer I had a few nights ago. Strykzone (7714) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2016
Sampled at ESBLS. Mid brown with an off white layer of foam. Oh wow. Complex and unique flavors. Camomile, earth, floral, salt, fruit. I like this. drowland (9161) - Georgia, USA - DEC 23, 2015

Pours amber brown with a quick white head. Nose is strong coffee with a touch of spice and fruit. flavor is similar and extremely close to a stoutwith copious coffee bean, alcohol, and slight nuttiness. Finish is long and sticky. rdixon77 (3066) - Georgia, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Reddish-brown colored. Nice coffee and oak addition to a solid brown base. Sweetened up considerably, but that works for a winter beer. Nice to see a seasonal that doesn’t just booze and spice up the place. LeRoytheAlien (55) - Kennesaw, Georgia, USA - JAN 11, 2015
The bourbon adds a perfect lagniappe to the coffee, oak, roasted malt and lactic finish. I can't wait for this to become a regular thing. JHeath99 (1680) - Warner Robins, Georgia, USA - DEC 26, 2014
Tap at the Rookery. Pours an opaque dark brown with spotty beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and woodiness. Taste is sweet with roasty malts. Wood and a slight hint of vanilla. sonnycheeba (6439) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 26, 2014
