This draft brew from the brew pub poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light yellow-orange colored body and a good lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouth feel was semi-thick with light malt hop notes. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and dough. Not one that I would likely buy again. On tap at Onion. Poured a clear paler golden with a short cap of white head. Aroma was unfortunately light.. sweet honey and lightly-toasted caramel in there.. very faint grassy presence.. opens up a little as it warms.. and what is in there is pleasant. The flavor was more focused on the honey and was fuller than the nose.. again lightly-toasted with a sweet, sticky finish.. very lightly-hopped. Light-bodied and a tad grainy on the palate.. little tacky at the end. beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2006
(02.18.06) Sampled at FebFest ’06, Libertyville, IL. Pours straw-colored with tiny white head and no discernable carbonation. Sweet toasty malt nose. Light-to-medium bodied that starts with light malt sweetness and toasty malt flavor. Finishes dry with light malt fade and nutty/corn aftertaste. Tasty malt flavors with no perceptible hop presence. Very good drinkable malty beer. Zeswaft (1768) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 24, 2006
Crisp and clean. A little soapy smelling. A little bit of nothing goes a long way. A guess it was a little malty, kinda grainy. muzzlehatch (4952) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 31, 2005
Sample at the brewpub. Unfiltered pale amber, cloudy/translucent with a bit of head leaving a small lasting ring...simple but reasonably fresh earthy, grainy nose....flavor also earthy, or maybe dirty, sharp and mineralic late, touch of green herbs, somewhat watery. Wouldn’t have necessarily guessed helles if the cheat-sheet didn’t tell me...

Yellow/Gold Coloring with White Ring. Carbonated and Sweet Grains Flavor. Agreeably Flavors that You Would Find in a Pils. Decent Summer Session. badgerben (5130) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 21, 2005
Clear yellow color with no head. Sweet grain aroma. The taste switches from sweet to dry with very slight bitterness at the finish. Very pislner-esque. frankenkitty (2012) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - SEP 12, 2005
Pale yellow with an anti-freeze haze & glow. No head. Aromas of fresh-baked white bread & herbal hops (similar to Italian seasoning). First taste was like my dog licked me on the mouth. Evened out to become moderately bitter with a creamy yet dry finish. Very drinkable after an odd start.

This one was from the tap at the pub, and was actually a slightly hazy yellow that you could see through. A slight pale malt aroma was present, but the majority of the taste profile was citrusy hops. As DavidP said, there was a moderate grainy finish. It was a good summer refresher, which is what I was looking for. DavidP (1748) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 27, 2005
Slightly hazy yellow body. Grainy malt aroma, hint of yeasty esters. Oddly spicy flavor - starts with a small zing of lemon grass and finishes with some grain husk astringency.
