I thought that this was a well balanced beer with some nice citrus undertones.

Tasty, little bit of bitterness but would never guess 8abv. This could be a dangerous one. DocLock (10830) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 26, 2012
Appearance: Turbid, very opaque orangu copper colored with fluffy, uniform 3-finger off-white head.
Nose: Delicious, this aroma is juicy and wet, super hoppy, with big tropical fruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, piney hops, black pepper, mild funk. Wonderful aroma.
Taste: Earthy, slightly funky caramel malt, resiny hops, tropical fruit, semi-sweet.
Palate: Fairly dense, high level of complexity, very fresh and juicy and flavorful. I love these Onion beers, and I love seeing great beers continue to pour out of cans. jkbachman (181) - - JAN 24, 2013
Highly aromatic: floral, citrus, fruity, and earthy hops. Hop flavor is pine and resin like. High IBUs but very balanced with the malt.

Pours a great looming orange opaque with a perfect head. Aroma is great, light and soft. Flavor is sour, like a grapefruit. A little strong, but tasty. I appreciate the beer in this style not being so heavy with the malted hops.

Poured from the can into my dad’s antique 7oz. Old Style glass he stole from a local gin mill back in the day. Finished 5 of these bad boys in an hour, and have already alerted my bail bondsman on twitter to let him know there might be action tonight. This is a good looking, good tasting glass of beer, all the food groups are represented: hops, malt, fruit, alcohol, and slayer. Who could ask for anything more?!.. aumentm (452) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Wonderful double ipa. thought this is was of the finer beers ive had in a while. really enjoyed it and the hops were very fresh. AirWolfie (10) - Alabama, USA - JAN 25, 2012
Great and I mean GREAT IPA. Nice citrus smell, and excellent hoppy taste with a piney bitterness at the end. Truly wonderful, and it comes in a can. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Murky peach with a wispy tan head and patchy lacing. Aroma of citrus, mango, pine and caramel. Taste of citrus, pine, caramel, a hint of garlic and some caramel. Aggressively hopped with high bitterness. Misterbum (2) - Island Lake, Illinois, USA - AUG 29, 2012 does not count
Had on draft at the brewery/pub, Barrington, IL. Have to say, I am surprised such a decent brew lies just 20 min from my house. Aroma was pleasant, 1-finger head, nice looking beer. The taste was very nice, a nice mix of hoppy fruitiness without a harshness afterwards. I could drink a bunch of this stuff. The 8.0 ABV% is masked very well. Happy to know of another local brewpub up here in Lake County, IL in addition to Tighthead, etc. Would definitely have this again.
