Bottle from a grocery store in La Pine, Oregon. Aroma is smooth coffee, mild vanilla, roasted malt, rich chocolate, espresso and mocha. Mild sweet with roasty coffee bitterness. Bit creamy. Nice, lots of tasty coffee and chocolate.

stevoj (5434) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 9, 2017
Bottle from Atkinsons in Ketchum. Dark black pour, no light coming through, medium beige head fades to small tight cap. More coffee than vanilla in the aroma, although there is a slightly sweet element. Roast grains and coffee. Taste offers the bitterness associated with coffee and roast grains, but also has the vanilla to add a touch of sweetness. Not prevalent, but enough to soften the rough edges. Coconut might work well here too.

Having had the pleasure of enjoying Kona coffee on the plantation in Hawaii, I’m happy to say this brew does it justice. Nose of rich coffee, chocolate, and just a hint of vanilla. Add some ice, cream, and sugar, and you’ve got my go-to Starbucks order.

On tap at the brewery taproom. This is a coffee-vanilla stout with an IBU of 55. 7.)% ABV listed. Moderately bitter flavor despite plenty of sweetness. Coffee flavor is quite strong, not enough to mask the vanilla entirely but enough to taste over the top.
