Pours jet black with A huge frothy brown head and leaves tons of lace. Aroma of roasted malts, oatmeal cookies, creamy coffee and some rich chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, black licorice and cereal. Mouthfeel is creamy and full and the beer finishes nice and dry on the finish. Excellent oatmeal stout.

Tap @ the brewery. Easily the best beer I had this particular evening. Rich chocolate, coffee and grain with a enough bitter in the finish to keep it from being too sweet.

On tap poured with nitro. Nice tan head and black pour. Lots of coffee and roasted malts. Good stout and nitro makes it better.

Tap at the Craft Beer Market, Calgary. It pours very dark brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is roasted malt, liquorice, sticky, coffee and bitter chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate, touch of caramel and dark bread, with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and low-medium carbonation. Smooth, well balanced and flavoursome. Good stuff.

Pint on tap at the Sugarbowl in Edmonton poured pitch black in color with a finger of beige head that left a little lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasted bitterness, coffee and malty sweetness with a lingering mild bitterness from the hops. Nicely balanced stout with medium to full body and mild carbonation. Very nice.

On tap at the The Sugarbowl. Just watched an excellent beer get poured. Black - thick and oily. The medium brown cap is huge and lasts forever, leaves tons of lacing all the way to the bottom and appears to be almost plastic it is so thick. The aroma is pretty solid with a big malty quality. Acceptable mild levels of coffee and a chocolate nose that is very long and rich as well. The long, smooth malts go on and on never letting me down but never offering up much more... which is fine by me. The taste is similar. The light coffee makes an early stand and then gently fades away as the chocolate evolves. The coffee never leaves but just blends into the back ground with the rich, warm chocolate with its mild bitterness. The large roundness of the choc flavour continues to impress throughout. Basic fruitiness peers in and out and a woody burntness gathers everything together. Faint hop bitterness. IT has a smooth and oily feel - soft and soothing. Very nice.
