Hazy light amber color, creamy head. Good american hops aroma, not too strong, with some caramel and a light cheesy touch (interesting). Good caramel flavor, strong bitterness, dry resins or hop oils too, and very light cheesy touch too. Very pleasant.

Amber color. Light fruity hop aroma. It has some caramel flavor, light sweetness (I would like more), strong bitterness, with some nice hop oils, and strong final. Simple but pleasant.
On tap at Wild Rose, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out some notes of pine, some metallic notes, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out piney and floral hops, but in a pretty restrained way, with a dry biscuity malt backbone. No residual sweetness here, which is good, but not the most robust IPA. Decent snd well-made, just nothing special. Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 4, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2014 2014 re-rate, draught @ National. Hazy amber-copper, thick head. Earthy, some yeast, light toasty malt, on the palate there’s decent bitterness, a touch of orchard fruitiness, maybe too much yeast but overall it’s just more of a throwback IPA, lacking the brightness of modern examples.Ferris (16274) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 6, 2012
Original 2003 rate: Bright orangey-amber; curranty, leafy hop aroma, with blood orange and light toast. Fresh, fruity hop palate - apple, salmonberry, lime. Vibrant hoppiness, but understated toasty malts. Sweetish for style. 7-3-6-3-13 = 3.2
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2013 Pint glass from draft. No head and served a bit too cold, but nursed to a reasonable temp to review. A crystal clear color of gold with no head. Nice mild aroma with a hint of citrus and flower. Taste is overly bitter up front with no great flavor profile. Not bad, but wouldn’t order unless it was the only IPA.
If it tasted like it smelled they would have a winner. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2004
Gold amber, with small white head. Honey hops with light citrus and cloves. Woody notes in mouth, with citrus, light hops and some scotch. Good body. (rated NY 2004)

12 ounce bottle. The name of the person who shared this beer will be withheld to protect the innocent. Hazy apple juice color w/ no head. Aroma is melon, pear, caramel and something very, very wrong. Totally oxidized with a very papery taste. Some subtle hops and a slightly vegetal taste. Completely flat. Total trainwreck. BeerandBlues2 (13697) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 22, 2006
12-oz bottle via trade with presario. Pours clean copper with an edgy off-white head, some lined lacing. Aroma is fruity, floral and soapy hops, sweet caramel and maple malt. Heavy acidity, moderate bitter and metallic hop, medium sweetness, bitter and dry hop finish. Medium bodied and fizzy, dry palate. Sammy (12601) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 22, 2005
More like a pale, not that hoppy, a medium mouthfeel, with a sour base..wheat? Some orange citrus and spices. Lots of malting to sweeten. Floral hops. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2010

Clear copper colour with small white head.
Rather mild sweet sugary aroma with fruity hops, cereal (like in all WR beers) and malt sweetness. Short hoppy flavour with sweetish fruits and malt. Short and mild bitterness that fades quickly.
Moderate off white head atop a golden amber body. Grapefruity hops in the aroma lead to disappointment in the lack of bitterness in the flavour. Needs to be kicked up a few notches to warrant IPA status.
