2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Medium tan head, fair retention, decent lace. Amber in color. Mild nose of malt. Lightly medium bodied, sorta twangy, a bit much on the co2. Malty, caramel flavors with something sorta ,,,tangy? Dry finish, malts. Weird. 12oz can, couple of months old. Props to my lovely wife for grabbing me a 6er and a Tshirt from the brewery on her adventures. Not an APA and not a decent representation of an Amber either. Drinkability, 2 out of 10.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Taps clear amber with a nice buff head. Aroma features more woody hops than malt, more like an IPA. Hoppy flavor delivers evergreen, malty and fruity tones, the latter being as much pomme as citrus. Mouthfeel offers up good body, lively fizz, and a woody hop finish. Hail to the alpha wolf!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2016 Tap at the brewery with the ECBT crew. Huge space with a lot more than just beer going on. Aroma is hoppy pine with a malty undertone. It?s a copper with a hint of amber color. Taste is very similar to the MN standard known as Summit EPA. Hoppy pine bitterness comes over the top of a malty/bready backbone. Pretty good balance with a heavy lingering hop aftertaste. Slight cloying mouthfeel. One of the American pale ale dogs, just not the actual alpha.

(Thanks, Gene! "Travlr")
A- Gummy, citrus, pine.
A- Orange amber color, hazy liquid, off white head.
T- Pine, bitter, tangerines, pepper.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish.
O- Amber Ale? No way, this is definitely a Pale Ale. Quite citrusy on the nose but a lot of pepper and malt on the palate. Malty on the end and a bit dry but otherwise a pretty standard APA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap @ Wild Wolf / Nellysford VA --- Clear medium amber color with a polite white head, streaks of lace. Taste is malt that introduces noticeable hops right away, then adds fizz on the swallow. Hops linger a long time. A solid, tasty hopped ale.

12 oz can with a March 2015 canning date.
Clear deep amber body topped by a durable head.
This hoppy pale ale could easily pass for an IPA. The hops seem mostly herbal in the nose but emphasize citrus upon tasting.
