Bottle from the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a thin tan head that quickly fades. Aroma of raspberries and bready malts. The taste is rapsberries, bready malts, mild spice. Medium bodied.

This was not a bad fruit beer. Slammed a 6 with some friends one night. Its no purple haze but it is decent and better than the other WW i had.

Crisp, very slightly hazy amber and copper coloured body with a touch of off-white head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of guess what - raspberries, sour lactic notes, hints of oak and dryness and a bit of light honey - very nice smelling. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt, yeast and fruit flavours dominate with a beefier body than I expected, but still a pleasant sweet raspberry flavour that shows some signs of sourness. Aftertaste has a light caramel, honey and apple taste, but the malt and raspberries again dominate. Overall, a rather one-dimensional beer, but some aspects of the yeast and dry flavours come out, but this is all about the raspberries sitting one layer on top of the malt. Still, I enjoyed this beer and wouldn’t mind trying the other flavours, should I ever find them! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Alexandria (Old Town), Virginia on 02-March-2014 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-February-2015.

Bottle. Crystal clear golden, scant white head. Aroma of dusty straw and fruit. Taste is lager and sweet berries.

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 30, 2014
Orangepour with white head and lace. Aroma is light raspberry and Belgian yeast. Flavor is raspberries, rock candy with a touch of Belgian yeast. Like most fruit beers the nose is better than the flavor. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Pretty nice

650 ml shared by decaturstevo. Clear reddish-copper with a lasting film of cream. Nose is raspberry and bready yeast. Taste is the same with some caramel and maybe a bit of citrus. Medium bodied and smooth with medium carbonation and a nice balance. Pretty decent fruit beer.

Suttree (6521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 28, 2014
Eh, pretty typical fruit beer. Smells good enough, I suppose, then an all too typical artificial raspberry flavor. There is also some notes of cereal and some yeasty notes.

Braudog (6852) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle. Seductive pour ... golden, bright amber. There’s little to no head, however. There’s a vague hint of raspberry syrup in the nose. And initially this presents a positive first impression with a subtle hint of wild berries in a light golden ale. But then the substance quickly fades, and this seems a bit of a shallow brew, and after the first quaff drinks like a ’starter’ Belgian. (#5524, 5/24/2014)

MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 19, 2014
tepid hazy gold, spotty island white head. Heavy sugar and vegetal nose, light berry. Sticky papery profile, tons of red berry front with heavy sugar, rinds and strawberry continuing through a papery oxidized finish.

solidfunk (9440) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Nice floral Belgian with good raspberry integration. Pours with a pink tint on the head, golden in colour otherwise. Light perfumy leave. A little watery on the palate. Bottle thanks to ajax25g at Epic Sour Tasting.
