Bottle from the Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. I was very impressed with this brew. It’s very hit and miss with some of these smaller brewers. Full bodied, full of chocolate and roasted malt flavor. I can’t wait for my next trip to Redding so I can get another bottle.

Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Very dark with minimal red. A fairly big almost tan head. The aroma is full of milk chocolate but the first sip is drier as in dark chocolate and that bitterness. Just a little citrus fruit and hop bitterness and a little roast. The oatmeal is not really tasted but seems to add smoothness and a little muting. Perhaps this should be a stout? Whatever it is, it is good. hayduke (5204) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 7, 2016
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured jet back with a tan head. Nose is chocolate and ripe dark fruit. Full in body. Creamy in mouth feel. Must be the oats. Chewy. The flavor is big on chocolate and the fruits are big too. The finish is dry and earthy. Very nice drinking beer. Very tasty. Shucks...very good.

Thick, malt and oat backbone. Oats make for awesome mouthfeel. Mild hop background. Good coffee hints in the finish. Quite an interesting brew.

On tap @ Miners Alley. Mostly an ashy and roasty beer. There is some earthy hops and a bit of dark fruits. Big time chalk, grass, and burnt sugar. Maybe some sugar and woody hops. Strong chocolate aroma, toasty, slightly burnt
Pours black with red tints. Lasting small creamy brown head
Well balanced flavor of coffee like roastiness and chocolate, woody notes as well.
Medium bodied, medium co2, creamy and smooth. Lingering burnt finish with slight sweetness
Enjoyable and approachable Porter. Well balanced with interesting maltiness

Firkin at Toad in the Hole. Deep brown, bright, with minimal bubbles that disappear altogether. Intense, inviting chocolate aroma wafts away to reveal chunky vanillin, but it tires and gets artificial. Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma of dark malt and maybe chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, gets a bit earthy, moves to dark treacle. Yet there seems to be some hop in it, because it finishes somewhat bitter. Could be malt I suppose. Cause it’s not dryish. Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours near black with a thick tan head and a musty treacle aroma. There is a hearty roasted malt and dark molasses flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish.
