Clear, golden colored, medium white head. Aroma is of malt, some caramel, fruity and floral hoppy, quite fresh, some honey. Taste is medium- sweet malt, biscuit and some caramel, medium fruity and herbal, bit grassy, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation.

Cask at Hopwater Cellar, Newcastle under Lyme. Pours golden. A tad thin, some dryness from the hop, a little muted. Average.

Pours light with little head. Cask. There is a strong floral nose and taste of hops. A slight sweetness and a little malt but not much. Elderflowers and maybe a little citrus.

Maker: Williams Brothers (Heather Ales), Alloa, Scotland *** Beer: Birds and Bees (cask at The Standing Order, Edinburgh) *** Style: Golden Ale *** ALC.VOL.: 4.3% *** Colour: Straw yellow, clear. Minimal head. *** Nose: Elderflower, citrus, floral notes. *** Texture: Light body, not too watery. Minimal carbonation. *** Taste: Elderflowers (they’re included in the brew) register immediately, first taste is intensely floral, with a lemon note. Hardly bitter at all. Very modest bitterness in the middle, again floral notes and a hint of lemon. Finish still not really bitter, short aftertaste, a bit bitter. *** Impressions: Individually flavoured golden ale, the elderflowers being an asset. Bitterness could be higher to sharpen the taste profile.

On Cask at Wetherspoons. Looks nice. Golden with a thick creamy head. Citrus hop aroma. Tastes pretty good. Nice bitterness. Fruity. Clean finish. A decent very refreshing cask ale.

cask at Hating Room, I mean Waiting Room. wife like this in the bottle but I don’t recall ever having it on cask... very nice however. no head to speak of, delicate aroma, taste a combination of floral, citrus, elderflower? plus lightly bitter finish. very sessionable. superior to the bottled version IMO.
