Cask at Blue Blazer ... hazy yellow... but barral had been knocked... light wheaty hop nose ... nice creamy white head ... sweet honey ... soft spice ... little corriander ... little sweet malt. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 14, 2011
On cask at Cloisters. I prefer this to the bottled version. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. Nice aroma of passion fruit and pineapple with some barley in there. Williams house yeast aroma and flavour. Flavours of passion fruit, pineapple and mango, some sweetness and barley. Foamy mouth-feel. Didn’t find this as sweet as the bottled version. Pours hazy pale yellow-golden with a small, nice, creamy, white head. Lovely lacings. Lovely aroma, flowers, vanilla, hops, crisp malts and a bit of lavender. Low carbonation, light fat mouthfeel. Flavour has green tea, lavender, elderflowers on top of sweet doughy malts. Pleasant hoppy dry finish. Nice.
Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th October 2012. Amber. Dying head vanishes. Fruity, slightly cheesy aroma. Vanilla and floral hops in-mouth, with some grass. Finish is floral, grassy and herby. Light mouthfeel and a fair amount of body for the strength.
