Cask at the bow bar. Nose is toast, dried fruit, chocolate, coffee. Palate is toasted coffee beans, a bit watery. At 4.2 it is a bit underwhelming. ManVsBeer (11168) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2017
Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Near black with a thick creamy off-white head. Crisp, it has a light tasting stout character with its roasted malts best in its nose. gowdy (1116) - Erskine, SCOTLAND - FEB 4, 2017
Half pint at Drygate Brewery in Glasgow. Very dark. Rather cold. Not much head. Black. undercurrent25 (2246) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2016
Pours a black colour. Taste is of roasted malts and balanced sweet and bitterness jjsint (3604) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2015
Keg at VDeep, Leith. Impenetrably back with a huge tan head that just sits there ominously. Caramel and liquorice in the aroma. Taste is sweet and savoury, almost like salted caramel. Finish is savoury with a hint of blood. Too kegged and too cold, but once it warmed up a bit I got a feel of the character.

1/3 pint keg @ hanging bat, Edinburgh. Body is black, head is big, beige, creamy, fully lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is roasty, aroma is light coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Medium sweet, medium to heavy roasty bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation. Easy dessert beer. Leighton (22814) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2015
Keg at The Vintage - Leith. Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy tan head. The nose holds moderate roast, dark sugars, lacto sugars. Light sweet flavor with ashy roast, dry cocoa, tobacco. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish with decent balance, more ashy roast and lacto sugars. Not bad.
