BlackHaddock (7329) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, best before Dec 2010, poured into a huge ’Judas’ glass (I don’t own a lager glass) on December 10th 2010. The brew is a deep golden/amber hue, a lot darker than most lagers/pilsners/Dorts/etc. The aroma was of grains, but grains soaked in caramel and light molasses. A wee hint of citrus within the smells also. This is one of the best Lagers I’ve come across, flavoursome, hearty and interesting. Fairly sweet in the taste, but full bodied also, something rarely said about this style (or any lager based brew, by me at least). My sweet tooth might help to explain my high scores, but this is well worth finding and trying, trust me!

Cask at Churchkey. Very light straw colored pour. Strange husky bite to this beer, with bready grain and a touch of grassy hops. Ehhhh.

Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 24, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2012 On keg at Cloisters. Pours a blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of musty honey, yeast and caramel. Similar flavours and just a little sweet. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle with a foamy mouth-feel (5,2,5,3, 14). Also had this unfiltered on draught at The Holyrood 9A. Poured a very pale straw colour with a fair white head. Aroma of bready yeast, caramel and grassy hops. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Very drinkable.

Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in September 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant smooth oak vanilla note in the aroma. Pale malt complex gives sweet fruit notes of mango and lychees. Hops impart a floral bitter flavour in the short aftertaste. Slight sweet edge returns to the finish. An excellent session ale.

Kavu (4787) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2012
Pours pale golden with a very low head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy malts. Flavor is malts with some fruits and hops. Pretty nice lager.

BeerBaboon (2093) - FINLAND - FEB 15, 2012
Golden yellow. Aroma of malt, straw and grass. Flavour of malt, citrus and grass.

jamestulloch (4109) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 6, 2012
Aroma: Inoffensive, clean.

Appearance: Light golden, clear body. Mild carbonation. Tiny head which soon dissipates.

Taste: Not as crisp as I had hoped. Quite bland actually. Would benefit from additional hops and carbonation.

Palate: Thin, watery body. Light mouthfeel. Very little alcohol flavour on the finish.

Overall: Not a bad lager, but certainly not a great one. Too flat, too flabby.

jaghana (6068) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - FEB 5, 2012
Bottle 50cln a clear golden beer with medium head. Nose is hopy and a bit vegetable like. Aroma is grainy, grassy, floral, toasted notes, body has a dry grassy hops, finish has a slightly lemony and resin like.

Lonick (1872) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 26, 2012
A lager the way it should be. Crisp and dry not fat and sweet as the normal mass produced lagers are.

MikeHolm (8) - FINLAND - JAN 21, 2012 does not count
Smooth and mild taste some flavor of citrus. Hops from the Czech republic. Nice color.
