Pours more of a light brown (though I do love the brewers ’ cherry, sunburst guitar description), this ’red’ ale is a seriously tasty drop. Strong aroma of caramel or toffee, leaving a medium sweet taste. Highly recommended Proving that, despite serious competition from other Scottish brewers Williams Bros are producing some of the best beers(Joker, Fraoch, Kelpie to name a few) in the country. Great to see more and more of these in several Glasgow pubs too, these guys are doing some serious brewing!

Bottle from Global Wines, Bearwood. Smells like a malt/hop pleasure. Nice, ruddy colour. Very pleasant flavour - gentle winter fruits, mixed with cascadey hops and a bit of sea air. Refreshing, full flavoured. Very nice. I like Williams Bros a lot.

A very nice Scottish Red Ale from the wonderful Williams Brothers Brewery! This has got a strong and interesting aroma which sets you up for a bit of strong taste however it’s actually quite soft and as warming just like the ruby red coloured body, coupled with the deep yellow frothy head! Characteristically this feels like an autumn beer!

Aroma: dark malts, citrus notes (grapefruit), herbs. Appearance: nice clear amber color, lasting white head. Taste: nice medium bitterness (pine and resin), dark malts, quite dry and slightly watery, easy drinking. Palate: medium body and high carbonation, nice bitter finish. Overall: Very good red ale with a nice hint of American hops. Well-balanced and highly drinkable.

Bottle at home. Dark golden amber, medium white head. Woody pine & caramel nose. Dry woody palate, some toffee sweetness. Dry light finish. Nice.

Burnt sugar toffee flavours making way for a fruity hoppiness, nice ruby roundness and warmth. Nice head and long clean finish. Not sure this qualified as a session beer.

Bonito color rubí. Dos dedos escasos de espuma. Dulce aroma acaramelado. En boca toque picante efervescente que acompaña muy bien a un sabor entre malteado y muy lupulado, frutal, mandarina y floral. Buen conjunto. Notable.
