Released for Sainsbury’s Great Gritish Beer Hunt 2013
Great Glasgow band and great name for a beer. We coax the amazing aromas out of some NZ and Slovakian hops, blend with an eclectic bunch of light malts and cold condition on an infusion of cone hops mixed with freshly-pressed strawberries

Amber, nice light malty taste, then bitter slightly hoppy finish with a lacing of strawberry. Interesting. Another great beer from the Williams Bros.

Bottle Sainsburys Leven. Pale amber, thin white head, steady bead. Not as hoppy as I’d hoped for, also has an odd sweet/sour fruity flavour...which, I guess on reading the back label, comes from the addition of strawberries! Not really my type, had worse tho!

I couldn’t taste the NZ hops *or* the strawberries but nevertheless it’s a very refreshing lager. To be drunk only on a hot summer evening when you need a thirst quenching palate cleanser.
