Bought a few sets of these when they came out, and played the game a few times, must have been Christmas ’09. Nice idea, although the base beer wasn’t that exciting, there were obvious differences between the four beers. Not obvious enough for me to get any of them right, mind you. This was my favourite. A Mes rate. Bottle at home on NYE.Pinball (12149) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2009
Had this one first, fairly predicatably as it was #1. Dull and earthy and plenty of card. Faint spice and citrus. Never got round to making a guess on this one as I wanted to have them all before I made a choice. I forgot to come back and write my guess. Though given what I chose for the others I’d have probably put this down as Saaz and as a result been as wrong as Pete Tong. Any beer lover should be able to pick out Cascade shouldn’t they? Not enough hops chaps.
clear yellow, small white head.
flowery aroma, faint malty sweetness.
flavor is sweet, alittle grassy, hoppy bitter, nice but very mild Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops. The flavor sweet with strong notes of citrusy hops, leading to a bitter finish. Nice. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Fin (10541) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle that was kindly passed onto me by Craig, consumed in a field at Towersey Festival, Oxon, 31-08-09 Pours gold with a small white head. The aroma much like the other three was lacking and made identification really difficult, I suppose the only saving grace for me was that I got some citrus notes from this but still got the hop wrong. This tasted ok but much like the other three this was an uninteresting base beer the hops were not that easily identifiable, much like the rest of our group I did shockingly bad and registered 0/4 A6 A3 F5 P3 Ov11 2.8 thewolf (12595) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2009

Pours hazy golden with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma is lightly spicy, lemons a grapefruity. Highish carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour is softly sweet, light grapefruit and lightly spicy. Okay bitter finish.
Bottle 330ml. [ As Hop Quiz #1 ].
Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, dusty hops, keller, light perfume. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. My guess went for the Styrian Golding.
