Bought a few sets of these when they came out, and played the game a few times, must have been Christmas ’09. Nice idea, although the base beer wasn’t that exciting, there were obvious differences between the four beers. Not obvious enough for me to get any of them right, mind you. They should do this again with some new varieties. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2010
A Mes rate. Bottle at home on NYE.Pinball (12187) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2009
I guessed right on this one as I did with the Brambling Cross. This was my favourite of the four but none of them were fantastic in all honesty. Very herbal and a good citric bitter finish. Very drinkable. I like Styrians for certain.
cloudy yellow, small white head.
aroma is flowery, faint sweet malty.
flaovr is sweet, faint flowery

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. (Guessed Cascade was Styrian Golding). Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a small, rough off-white head. Sweet, citrusy and lightly perfumy nose. Medium body, sweet and malty with some fruitiness. Slightly bitter finish. Nice one. 161209 yespr (46530) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009

Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Unclear. Dense off white head. Herbal and flowery aroma. Light spice notable. Flavour is sweet, fruity and herbal. Medium bodied. Dry light bitter end. Ungstrup (38138) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009
Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin lazing head. The aroma has notes of citrus, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, bread, and hay, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Fin (10699) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle that was kindly passed onto me by Craig, consumed in a field at Towersey Festival, Oxon, 31-08-09 Pours gold with a small white head. The aroma was slight and instantly reminded me of a typical British bitter. This tasted ok but much like the other three this was a fairly boring base beer and the hops were not that easily identifiable, had they have been as aggresivly hopped as the Mikkeller single hop series of beers than I think that I may have faired rather better. Once again I note that I guessed the same as the Wolf (Bramling Cross) and yet again I got this wrong. Like the Saaz (which I didn’t think was Saaz) this was a slightly better beer, and completed my record of getting none correct 0/4 A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0 thewolf (12706) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2009
Bottle, bought @ Cornelius, Edinburgh.fonefan (49996) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2009
Pours hazy golden with a small, fizzy, white head. It stays a bit longer in this one. Aroma is sweet, lightly fruity, some black currants and piney. Still a bit thin, highish carbonation. Flavour is lightly bitter, some berry-like fruitiness. Fine. I guessed Bramling X for this one.
