Bottle, from Hogsback store, at JF’s Calcutta Cup mini tasting - 02/02/13. Clear golden with a white head that departs edgeward and leaves a small film in time. Nose is caramel malt, hops, sugars, citrus. Taste follows, orange, hops, caramel, grass. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in a dryish finish. Ok.

From a keg. Pours a pale blonde colour. Taste is quite hoppy and bitter. A hint of skunk cannabis. Ok

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2017 A real bargain bottle from Beer Hawk - 500ml of 5% for £1.99. Dark gold with a white head and a sweet toffee aroma. It’s light and sweet, not bitter. Mildly hopped. Drinkable but not a classic IPA.

50 cl. bottle @ Home. Aroma: not very intense aromas of citrus, lime, grass. Floral-grassy overtones. No hints of malt aromas here. Hints of fruits (maybe peach or apricot), grapefruit, pine, resin. Appearance: straw yellow to light golden color, perfectly clear and without hazyness. Perfectly white foam with high thickness, medium to high retention, low to medium Brussels' lacing, made of assorted-sized bubbles. Taste: low sweetness, low to medium bitterness, very low to no sourness. Flavors of citrus, lime, grass, pine, resin, grapefruit, hints of fruits (maybe peach or apricot). Balance is on the bitter side. No hints of malt flavors here. Palate: light to medium body, watery to oily texture, low carbonation, not very long dry bitter finish with flavors of lime, pine, resin, grass, citrus, grapefruit. Overall: weak aromas and flavors of lime, citrus, pine, grass. No hints of malt aromas nor flavors. Maybe a layer of malt flavor in the background would improve the overall result. Not bad, but not one of the best IPAs i've tested by far. It lacks some strong fruit and tropical fruits flavors and aromas which are commonly found in the best IPAs. A bit more of body and carbonation would be better too.

On tap at Stramash, Edinburgh. Comes with a clear amber color and a nice white head. Aromas of passionfruit, mango and abricot, cereals and some herbs. Taste is citric with floral hops. Very nice pine-bitter finish. Medium body. Refreshing.

En frisk IPA. den er ikke helt tøri det, men har en god frugtagtig humle. ..

Can from Sainsburys. Pours clear orange gold with a thin white head. Nice slow flow of bubbles in the glass. Aroma has sweet oranges, a little apricot finished with a green earthiness and mild spice. Flavours have light citrus fruit and floral in quite a traditional sense but then comes a big pine bitter finish. The body is soft but the light carbonation is dry enough to feel refreshing. This is soft, subdued and traditional brought up to the moment with a bold pine hop finish and crisp carbonation.
