Bottled. Dark ruby, small head. Cocoa powder aroma. Fairly sweet with medium body and Clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fudge covered in cocoa powder. Low bitterness. Sort of artificial. Everettm (81) - Bristol, Somerset, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2013
Black with a finger of tan head. Low aroma of roasted malt, some chocolate (mostly milk) hints of citrus peel and whiff of sweet coffee. Good above average body but not a meal, slightly thinned by the higher than needed carbonation. Bold backbone of complex dark and roasted malt, lightened wisps of citrus (candy peel) and slight berry flavours. All leading to milk chocolate, and a little burnt chocolate, rounded off with a dry tannin like bitterness and mild coffee highlights. JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2013
Flaske, 50 cl. Mørkebrun sort med et flot cremet beige skum. Sød aroma af ristede malte, appelsinskal og mild lakrids. Blid porter med en del karakter. God bitter finish. Erzengel (9338) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 10, 2013
Dark in the glass with a dark beige head. The beer starts dark - roasted. Directly at the beginning enter the roasted barley flavours the mouth, even before the typical stout-sourness can be noticed. And highly drinkable for this dark and roasted brew. Dark chocolate, heavily roasted espresso-beans, crust of very dark bread. Great! And still soft, not importune.
The aftertaste is long, slightly stout-sour with a bit of nice and still mild hop bitterness, and lots of roasted aroma! Only the corinder and the orange zest is not clear to me.ComradeK (1256) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2013
--> A great beer! And due to the moderate alcohol not too sticky or viscous.
500ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a medium beige head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Smooth milk chocolate, cream and nutty, roasty malt notes make up the aroma. Mild citrus hops mix with slightly wit-like orange zest and coriander up front. Roasty and nutty malt flavours come into the mid-palate, with milk chocolate and more faint orange giving an almost jaffa orange feel to the finish. The addition of orange and coriander is an odd one in a stout, but it seems to work fairly well here, creating a slightly unusual but quite pleasant stout.

Black body with medium, creamy beige head. Weak aroma, but mostly dark chocolate and roasted malt. Also caramel and cognac notes noticeable after warming up. Very creamy in taste, solid bodied with dominant chocolate and roasted malt notes. Practically there is no bitterness. Finish is rather sweet than dry. Tasty, but it stands out with nothing. allmyvinyl (10932) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 20, 2013
500ml bottle shared at home. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head, which stays around nicely. Aromas are mostly chocolate, touch of minerally coffee. Taste brings some dark fruit sugar. Creamy mouthfeel, good bitter finish, nice. turbothy (1141) - Bonn, GERMANY - SEP 11, 2013
½L bottle from Baxter’s, Edinburgh. Pours very dark brown with light brown head. Roasted coffee, malt aromas. Slightly thin, bubbly mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet coffee with a licorice aftertaste. Not bad. DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 2, 2013
The aroma is a nice sweet barley balanced with wood notes, coming off a perfect beige head and black body. Flavour is a nice dry barley with just a hint of sweetness; wet finish. This is a fine sessionable Scottish ale. OwainTurner (425) - Leicester, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2013
Bottle from Tesco. Black thick with dark dense head... Aroma of rich chocolate and caramel. Taste of chocolate smooth with a slight bitterness. feel of thick dense silk.
