0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a clear dark brown one with a small bubbly light beige top. It smells quite nice this. Nice roasted sweetness with brown sugar, coffee, malt and good quality chocolate. Really nice, and it tastes just as nice. Soft gentle and balanced. It has chocolate, coffee, brown caramel and a really balanced bitterness. Ends with a soft burned and roasted finish and aftertaste. One of the better Ive had from these guys. 09.01.2013

UPDATED: APR 4, 2017 Pours deep black with a nice fine sheet of head. Rich and roasty aromas, coffee is rather prominent. Medium body. Roasty, quite malty flavours, chocolatey and again noticeable coffee, rich and smooth in the finish. Nicely balanced and bitter. Somewhat warm and bittersweet with chocolate notes in the lingering bitter finish. Actually really nice.

Bottle. Nice and creamy stout. Good taste. Not spectacular. Very solid though. Id rather drink this than Guinness any day.

Bottle poured into glass. Aroma dark roast malt, standard for a stout. Pours a nice thick dark body with a small off-white head that lasts about as long as youd expect from a bottled stout. Taste smooth, rich roasted malt with solid chocolate notes and surprisingly fruity characteristics - zesty orange peel? Leads into a slightly spicy finish. A solid stout.
