Midnight Sun is a black porter style beer, created from a blend of malted barley, oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt, balanced with a generous handful of hops and a wee bit of fresh root ginger. We really like it and hope you do too!

Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - FEB 17, 2016
Deep black color with a nice and honest beige head. Aroma is toasty, notes of coffee, nuts, chocolate and plum. Flavor is light sour and salty, notes of dark fruits as plums and nuts. Average carbonation in a medium to full body and a little astringent finish.

Une belle bière noire avec des arômes torréfiés et de café. Après plusieurs gorgées le gingembre ressort et apporte une belle fraîcheur. Un ensemble vraiment agréable et faible en alcool.

Little to no aroma. Poured with small head but did retain a thin head throughout. Palette is thin, with explosive carbonation. Flavour is quite nice with nice sweet roasty malt. Very subtle ginger does appear in the centre. The finish is long, relatively hoppy and chocolaty.

Light sweet, light acid, light to medium dry bitter ; refreshing. Light to medium body, thin texture, average to soft carbonation, sweet spicy medium finish. Overall, pleasant fruity/spicy/roasty character ; refreshing ; a bit thin, light acid.

overtheline (140) - Inverness, SCOTLAND - AUG 20, 2015
500ml bottle pours virtually black with small tan head fading to cap. Roasted nutty malt and some ginger on the nose. Some licorice comes through on the taste and that ginger works wonderfully; just enough so you know its there but not so much that it crushes everything else. Really silky smooth Mouthfeel and good level of carbonation; I find many porters just too flat. A beer I will enjoy again.
