Midnight Sun is a black porter style beer, created from a blend of malted barley, oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt, balanced with a generous handful of hops and a wee bit of fresh root ginger. We really like it and hope you do too!

Bottle of 50cl in cosmic caf. Expiration: July 2016. Harsh acidic on the nose, unripe cherries. Nice color little brownish head. Too strong ginger, sourness and bit plastic taste as well. Lacks chocolate, coffee roastiness and smoothness on the palate. Carbonation is good and body is appropriate. OK beer.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of kajser27, shared with him and Marko. Black coloured, small brownish head, light roasty nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, hint of ginger and subdued alcohol with mild presence of licorice in the finish. Pleasant one.

Thanks to kajser who brought it from Russia! Blackish body, brownish head. Aroma... chocolate/cocoa with some vague, but definitely present ginger on a malty base, quite nice. Taste... more of the chocolate/ginger interplay, slightly roasty, slightly minty, light in body, a tad too light for me but still a tasty beer!

Bottle @ home. Marrone, opalescente, schiuma beige fine abbastanza persistente. Aroma tostato, frutta secca, cacao amaro, caff freddo. Lieve erbaceo. Gusto abboccato, poco amaro, acidulo. Caff ed un leggero piccante, come di zenzero candito. Piuttosto rotonda, corposa, mediamente carbonata. Un filo astringente. Equilibrata e piuttosto armonica.

Bottle from my Secret Santa, thank you McTapps! Aroma dark roasted coffeeish malts with a hint of sourness, generous grassy English hops. Clear very dark colour, stable brown head. Taste is rich with malts, dark roasted, chocolate and coffee, but also toffee. Hops is present, but does not disturb, traditional English flavours, grassy, kind of Fuggley. I might even detect the ginger, but without the commercial description I would describe it as minty, fresh flavour. Long roasty finish. Very good.

Black is the night! ans a low tan head to go with it. aroma chocolate and roasted malt, hops also noticeable. Taste chocolate (nothing sweet) to roasted coffee, earthy hops, though I dont get much ginger. Dry coffee lasting aftertaste. Creamy med+ body.

Bottle, 500 ml. Pours opaque dark brown/black with a think sheen of medium tan head. Decent lacing. Aroma mostly of roasted malts and wholemeal bread, with a damp, earthen edge. Not particularly potent on the nose overall however. Roasted malts again prominent in the taste though this time theyre joined by hints of dark chocolate along with an unexpected amount of herbal, perhaps almost vegetable notes, and some other cereals. Bitter overall and more hops coming through later on leave a bit of a tingle on the tongue, and the root ginger advertised on the bottle is detectable here as well; a decent spicy aftertaste to round things off. Could be more exiting on the palate as the body is thinner than it could be, though aforementioned spicy tingle, present despite the general lack of carbonation, is notable and brings this up a few points. Decent easy drinking with a few surprises to keep one interested in the matter.
