COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We have brewed this special festive ale using malted barley, a variety of high impact specialist hops and hand picked spruce tips which are only ripe for picking during a two week window in the spring. The resiny sweetness of the spruce and malt is countered by a huge hop character, which is just delicious. Limited batch of 800 bottles.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2012 In bottle at home. Pours a beautiful amber colour with a thick, rocky beige head. Aroma of mandarins, spruce, treacle, alcohol and pine. Mandarin, grapefruit and spruce flavours compete wonderfully to give a vibrant, bitter orange character that tails off to a warming alcohol hum. The linger reminds me of orange bitters with moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Superb! Also had this at The Holyrood 9A. Lots of strawberries all round and quite bitter.

1 litre bottle as a Christmas Present:
This one was a truly excellent Christmas beer from Williams Brothers, the beer is up there with the best of the seasonal offerings I have tried and really went down a treat. There was a tonne of hops and plenty of fruity, bitter flavours that surprised me at just how good it was, I’ll definitely be on the look out for this one again next year.

Keg at Duke’s Corner Dundee. Delicious cherry aroma, light creamy head. Great amber body, full of spice and red berry. A beautiful concoction!

Warm spicy aroma, red amber in colour with a small dense head. Cake and spice flavour, slightly nutty, malty and would be good with food.

Bottle from Peckham’s in Glasgow. Unseasonal but lovely Christmas ale. Like sucking on a Christmas tree* in February. Biggest compliment I can give is that my beer hating other half really liked this. *DISCLAIMER: I have never actually sucked on a Christmas tree but I imagine it would taste like this.

Smaczne piwo z niewielka pianka, metnoscia srednia. Koloru zloto pomaranczowego, pachnacego intensywnie cytrusami, limonka i brzoskwinka z lekka nuta cukru. W smaku gozkawo cytrusowe, swierze i powiewne, pasuje na wiosenna aure. Jedyny minus to zbyt wyczuwalny alkohol.

330ml bottle. Pours a honey amber with a white head. Nose is biscuit, caramel, marzipan, spruce and Christmas cake. Thick mouth feel, sweet, spruce pine, marzepan, dried fruits and biscuit malt in the taste. Good bitter citrus orange peel finish. Very nice indeed.
