COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Profanity Stout is the first in the Williams Bros ’chapeau’ series, in which we celebrate the skills of amateur brewers whose beers we think are exceptoinal and should be made available to a wider audience. With Profanity Stout we doff our caps to Peter and Craig, the ’Balls to the Wall’ brewing duo, who developed this recipe as students on the brewing course at Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University. The beer is a blend of rich coffee and intensely fruity hop aromas on a base of full velvety malty mouthfeel.

arkanu (52) - Iasi, ROMANIA - APR 22, 2016
A beer that’s okay, but could have been better. Color is really nice, deep black, absolutely no light coming through the glass, with a good, creamy head. Taste is full of coffee and that’s kind of all. Something is a bit sour too, but can’t put a name to it. Not a bad stout, but not to be remembered.

Bottle at home. Pours opaque black with a small lasting tan head. Aroma is roasty, coffee slight dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, dark cocoa, slight coffee, long dry finish which came as a pleasant surprise. Best Williams Bros brew I’ve tried.

Sigmund (8020) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 16, 2016
330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Verksgata, Stavanger. BB date Nov. 2014. ABV is 7%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Low beige head. Nice roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Nice roasty flavour too, plenty of character without becoming too bitter. Notes of coffee, some fruit / prunes, chocolate and a hint of vanilla, moderate hops.

Correcte. Beaucoup de torréfaction surtout sur la longueur, comme un mauvais café genre starbucks... Sinon pas horrible. Du chocolat très noir, un fond café.

Ekstrakt: 17% wag.
Chmiele : Nelson Sauvin, First Gold (UK), Centennial, Amarillo.
Kolor : Na pierwszy rzut oka wydaje się całkowicie czarny. W rzeczywistości rubinowy z ineresującymi refleksami.
Piana: Gęsta jak dobrze ubita bita śmietana. Piana w kolorze beżowym o drobno oczkowej strukturze. Piana cieszy oko i zachęca do spożycia - najlepiej łyżeczką do lodów;)
Zapach: Głęboki, złożony. W aromacie płynna czekolada, miód, karmel oraz kawa. Na drugim planie cytrusowe nuty.
Smak: Bardzo rozbudowany.
Wysycenie: Niskie.
Podsumowanie:
Bardzo apetyczny Imperial Stout. Wyśmienity balans słodkiej bazy z przyjemną goryczką. Wszystko wzorowo skompomowane. Piwo jest aksamitne i treściwe. Polecam!

Aroma: chocolate, toasted malts, light coffee, dark fruit jam, forrest berries. Appearance: black, small, creamy, off-white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: initial bitters continue, some toasted malts, chocolate, pralines, sweet, dark berry jam, dry finish. Overall: very nice Imperial Stout, excellent, not too strong in ABV, yet very complex in both aroma and palate. Bottle form Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.

Black pour with a thin tan head. Cocoa, coffee, roasty aromas. Taste is quite bitter, coffee, burnt toffee, a little ash, dark chocolate. It’s not bad at all

Bottle sample at Ariel’s farewell tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark brown to black. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, roast, toast, nuts. Sweetish flavor with roast, chocolate, nuts, a bit of caramel, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.
