COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Profanity Stout is the first in the Williams Bros ’chapeau’ series, in which we celebrate the skills of amateur brewers whose beers we think are exceptoinal and should be made available to a wider audience. With Profanity Stout we doff our caps to Peter and Craig, the ’Balls to the Wall’ brewing duo, who developed this recipe as students on the brewing course at Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University. The beer is a blend of rich coffee and intensely fruity hop aromas on a base of full velvety malty mouthfeel.

Bottle @ Y.N.W.A Beershop. Pours nearly black with a creamy lasting head and lacings. Nose is sweet. Roast, dark fruit and chocolate. Smooth and full bodied. Flavor has lots of dark fruit and roast. Quite hoppy finish.

The aroma has roasted malt, coffee and licorice. Black coloured beer with a medium sized, beige head. The taste is bitter and has little fruity sweetness, roasted malt, coffee and licorice. Nice one

However, job is done ! Bouteille 33cl, Boissons du Monde, Saint-Egrève.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2017 Pours black. Aroma is more varied than your typical stout - chocolate, perfume, floral, candy. Taste is chocolate, smooth balanced roast. A well balanced beer that has an innate complexity to it. Medium bodied. This was my final beer after having several 9+ %ABV Orkney stouts and this was by far the most enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a tan head. Nose is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, black cherry and orange peel. A bit thin for the style and abv. Taste is good though, roasted malt, brown bread, treacle, coffee, dark chocolate, cherry and Christmas cake. Bitter at the end, with some orange peel. Tasty.

Pours black. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee aroma and flavor. The body is a bit too light for this style.

Bottle. Pours deep black with good amount of beige foam. The foam lasts a bit in the glass. Nose full of coffee, liqorice, alcohol. Tastes coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and grassy hops. The alcohol is present, but I quite like it. Enjoyable.

Pours black with a brown tinge little to no head. Nose is heavy on the booze, tinge of sweet caramel. Taste is bitter upfront peppery hops and thin mouthfeel. Balance is not there, may be an old beer but dissapointing.

Black-brown, beige head, chocolate aroma, hops, orange, caramel, chocolate flavor, hops, orange, caramel, medium bodied.
