On cask at Cloisters. Pours a red colour with a fair beige head. Aroma of caramel, port wine and alcohol. Similar flavours with lingering port again. A little dry with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Lightly hazed chestnut brown with reddish hues and a thin off white head.
Nose carries hops, dark malt, sugars, fruits.
Taste follows, darker fruit flavours, sugars, caramel.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish.

Aroma: Toffee, biscuit and earth. Subdued red fruit notes.

Appearance: Clear ruby body with a medium off-white head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Excellent carbonation.
Taste: Subtle flavour but quite complex. Bitter earth, sweet malt, cherry and plum trying to come to the fore.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a very oily mouthfeel. Light carbonation prickle.
Overall: A decent Bitter. I’d have this again.
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2012 On tap in Dublin at the l mullingan grocer. Reàlly nice beer. Alittle bitter at the end but not too much
