Poured a hazy off golden with an off white head. Aroma of muted citrus and light malt. Light body, flavour is medium sweet, lightly bitter. Not one of Williams better offerings.

Scopey (14257) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2014
Cask at Guildford Arms. It pours clear deep gold with minimal head. The nose is sweet, red berry, candy and grainy notes. The taste is sweet, syrupy, sweet tayberry/raspberry action, artificial notes and candy with a sweet, cloying finish. Medium body, low carbonation and viscous, sticky mouth-feel. Very sweet, a bit flat and cloying. Yup ...not great!

Cask, half at The Malt Shovel Inn. Slightly unclear, gold-amber coloured body. Tiny head, solid lacing. Tart and sweet aromas, malt and berries. Semi-tart berries to the taste character offset by the sweetness from pale malts. Dry, sweet and tart endnotes. Thin to medium bodied. Ok fruit beer (Edinburgh 09.08.2013).

Cask on tap at Inn Deep, Glasgow - hazy yellow, thin white head, weak berry fruit aroma, intermittent lacing, berry fruits, too highly carbonated and cold, sweet

Tasted this fruit beer at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Cloudy in appearance and not obvious pink but a lovely russet amber in colouration with very little head. Open and loose lacing. Very fruity in the aroma with overipe rasberry and bramble notes. Very refreshing mouthfeel. Initial sweet and soft summer fruit flavours in the mouth with little pale malt presence. Delicate floral hop resins slowly appear in the not too drying aftertaste, giving a very refreshing finish which would be ideal for a summer session. Never seen this ale on draught in my part of the world but I think it would be a very popular choice and we need more this type rather than the current plethora of golden ales being touted last summer. Highly recommended.

On cask at The Caley. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is a little sour with lemons, berries and yeast. Similar flavours with mild carbonation. I preferred the bottled version myself.

On tap at Sheffield Tap, pours pinkish bronze. Aroma and flavour of tayberry - sort of raspberry and blueberry-ish. Very balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness. Great fruit beer.

On tap at the Sheffield Tap. Pours a clear red/pink. Aroma of red berries and syrup. Flavour is of red berries. Quite sweet but well balanced so not overbearing. Very light, fresh and crisp. Most pleasant fruit beer I have had so far.
