olsvammel (7286) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2010
Appearance: 3/5 Clear golden liquid with a small white head that left an even layer of foam on the side of the glass. Smell: 7/10 Malt, hops, citrus and grass. Taste: 7/10 Grassy hops, citrsu, malt and hay. Mouthfeel: 4/5 Slightly thicker then average body and medium smooth with just a bit of harshness. Comment: Very nice. This is the kind of beer you could drink pints of. Very easy to drink and even though it has a fairly low ABV it still has allot of flavour. I would have expected it to have a watery light body and little to no flavour. But it has both plenty of hop aroma (not even close to a hoppy IPA though) and an enjoyable bitterness. If I where to sum up the flavour of this beer I would say it tastes like summer. I believe this is when it should be enjoyed, on a hot summer day. It’s a great thirst quencher but it also works well with food. I had it with some pizza sandwiches that came steaming straight out of the oven and it was a great match. I can imagine this beer would work well with most of the ordinary pub food, burgers and such.
