From notes, 8/7/2013. 22 oz bottle poured into a Belgian snifter. Bottled 7/5/2013. Black with half a finger of tan head that fades quickly. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, oak, bourbon, coconut and vanilla. Tastes of bourbon, oak, caramel, dark fruit, dark chocolate. Medium-full body with a dry and warm finish. c_lee_burton (193) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 10, 2014
22 oz. Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head that leaves some lacing. Great bourbon nose. Tastes of bourbon, vanilla, and booze. Good, but a little too boozy. I would definitely let it warm to room temperature to bring out the flavors. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Bottle. Bit of oxidation notes, pretty simple and good bourbon aged imperial porter. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 11, 2014
starts off great, then gets that wet raisin flavor with some cardboard. Not a fan, tasted like a coffee stout to me. Warmed subparly. Sledutah (7527) - Utah, USA - MAY 18, 2014

Pours near black with a medium sized tan head and some lacing. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak and leather. Flavors of roasted malts, bourbon, vanilla, woody with a nice warming alcohol bitterness in the finish
Very nice and smooth, this could have aged a few more years and still be tasty. Lots of bourbon and vanilla.
A big thanks to Brad for sending me this. Nose is smooth bourbon, chocolate, roast, some light coffee, a hint of vanilla, and some dark fruit. Excellent. Flavors line up pretty similarly. Very nice. Dr_Fellini (1020) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - APR 23, 2014
Bottle to glass. Pours a very deep brown to black color with a thin rim of creamy tan head. Aroma is lots of chocolate, lightly roasted malts. Flavor is chocolatey sweetness, vanilla, with a hint of after dinner wine booze. Medium body with a strong lingering chocolatey sweetness. Excellent beer! Damn nice aroma, dark chocolate, vanilla, and sweet bourbon. AdamChandler (5052) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Flavor is chocolate pudding, vanilla oak, hints of anise and a nice subtle bourbon heat after the sip. Coffee with sugar. Texture is creamy with the body leaning on the lighter side of medium. The bourbon balances the rich malt very nicely. Quite easy to drink for such a big beer.
Really nicely crafted.
Pitch black and oily. no head. Smells amazing! Loads of vanilla, toffee, caramel and bourbon. Wow. sweet. loads of raisin and grapes. very very sweet. vanilla out the butt. It’s gonna be hard to finish a bomber though. best shared with a few people. Crompt (122) - York, South Carolina, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Oh wow a full flavor porter with a decent palate that I actually am impressed with! Finally a porter worth drinking. Lots if bourbon and roasty flavors that makes his porter almost drink like a stout. Which brings me to the question I always ask myself when I convince myself to give porters another chance. Why not a stout?
