In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a very dark brown colour with a fair light tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, soy sauce, bourbon, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nice and dry with an oaky finish.

Black as night with a tan head which dissipates to nothing. Bourbon barrel and chocolate aroma is rich and inviting. Coffee and cocoa flavors are bittersweet. Very nice finish.

Still thin like the base was, but way smoother, and quite a bit better than I remember that one being. Like I said, light palate, but all the usual suspects are there in the nose and flavor, well integrated, if there maybe is a little less pop to them than some bigger stouts. I dug it.

A great aroma of coffee, and chocolate with notes of smoked malt. Pours a dark black color with lasting tan head. A taste of coffee, bourbon, with an oily feel and a bourbon finish.

22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a dark brown to black with a khaki head of foam. The aroma has strong notes of chocolate and bourbon. Pretty sweet. Big body and medium carbonation.

Deep black pour from the bottle with aromas of lactose, chocolate, roast and some sweetness. Flavors are the same nice barrel and booze as well nice and very drinkable.

Aroma is perfect for this type of stout, chocolate, malt, bourbon, nuts. Pours black with a medium brown foam. The taste is really nice, malt, bourbon, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some butterscotch. Very nice palate for this beer. This is a really nice beer and very smooth.

Bottle at the Rate Beer Awards Festival Bottle Share. Big coffee in the nose, sugar, vanilla, maybe maple syrup, and bourbon. Sweet falvors of vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, cola. Almost flat. A bit too sweet and somewhat 1-dimensionally driven by the additives.
