Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Pours a deep brown, cloudy appearance with a thin brown head. Rich chocolate, delicious well roasted coffee, vanilla, sweet bourbon aroma. A touch fruity, rich dark chocolate, sweet coffee, vanilla, mild toffee, easy drinking bourbon flavor.
Tap at world of beer. Pours black with a dusting of a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, slight smoked peat. Flavor is sweet chocolate, dark and milk, peat but not smoked, dark fruit, alcohol. Good. cobaink2 (718) - seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 29, 2017
Bottle from tavour. Nice deep dark chocolate with tinges of vanilla. Quite sicky with some sugar. Not having anything from this brewery it is complex and quite surprising. Love it. kathouse (1914) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - APR 5, 2017
Black as night with a tan head which dissipates to nothing. Bourbon barrel and chocolate aroma is rich and inviting. Coffee and cocoa flavors are bittersweet. Very nice finish. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 7, 2017
Still thin like the base was, but way smoother, and quite a bit better than I remember that one being. Like I said, light palate, but all the usual suspects are there in the nose and flavor, well integrated, if there maybe is a little less pop to them than some bigger stouts. I dug it. A great aroma of coffee, and chocolate with notes of smoked malt. Pours a dark black color with lasting tan head. A taste of coffee, bourbon, with an oily feel and a bourbon finish.
