AROMA: Dark malt, some lactose sugar. No deeply roasted malt or coffee. Mild nose overall. 7/12
APPEARANCE: Dark black, seemingly opaque. Brown foam almost completely dissipates. 2/3
FLAVOR: A general dark maltiness. Slight sweet, almost cola flavor from the lactose. No distinct hop presence. Coffee is mostly faded. Metallic flavor on the finish. 10/20
MOUTHFEEL: Fairly light body; low carbonation. Feels like flat soda. Clean finish. 2/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Bottle was almost six months old which explains the weak palette and body. Probably good fresh. 4/10

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Drake! Dark black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of acrid coffee grounds, some acid, roast, slight earth, cocoa, slight dark fruit. Taste was a mix of ash, smoke, coffee grounds, hints of acid, roast, and a touch of cocoa, finishing bitter. metalhead0043 (207) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 20, 2016
12 oz bottle from Samís for 2.29. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is coffee, slight vanilla, a little roasty and a little sweet. Taste is coffee up front, slightly sweet and smoky on the back end. Nothing overwhelming; just an easy-drinking stout. Body is about average, not too heavy or too light. Overall a decent enough coffee stout. ScottWallace82 (97) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - JAN 16, 2016
