COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A highly hopped contemporary India Pale Ale. Brewed with copious amounts of Cascade and Amarillo hops, this IPA is balanced nicely with a strong malt body. A great beer for any occasion. Brewed originally as the beer ration for British troops in India, it was preserved with extra hops and higher alcohol for the long sea voyage. India Pale Ale, IPA as it is usually referred to, has become Americas second most popular microbrewery style. If you enjoy a rich, aggressive hop flavor, this is your ale of choice.

THOUGHTS: Nothing crazy. Just a well-made IPA. Nice balance and great transition. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light to medium orange with a small, off-white head that mostly diminished an left good lacing. The aroma contained moderate bread, caramel and cracker; light pine, orange and other citrus hops; eventually heavy resinous hops; and apricot. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and nearly heavily bitter with a long duration. There was caramel, pale malt, bread, cracker, citrus hops, pine hops, resinous hops, orange and apricot. The medium body was a little oily with fizzy carbonation and a dry and slightly metallic finish.

From the bottle. Thanks, Nathan! The aroma is orange peel and wet grass, with honeysuckle and cloves. Sweet flavor, with a smooth, balanced bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp, and clean. This is an easy and approachable IPA; very sharp and refreshing.

Orange, hazy big dense white head. Orange hop aroma. Cloying orange hop flavor that overstays its welcome.

Williamsburg, Va - on tap at the Alewerks Taproom. Hazy, light golden, soft silky snow white head with a nice film of lacing. Touch of spruce in the aroma with a hint of juniper. Solid citrus bent to the flavor, some sweet caramel notes, a touch of passion fruit fruitiness. Decently thick mouthfeel.

Super tropical ipa. Tropical juice, mango, mango, papaya and peach pour out of the bottle. Super fresh and easy to drink. Theres malt only to add balance, not take away from the wonderful hoppyness. Big aroma on this one as well. I really dig this beer. Alewerks makes awesome beer and this is another one of them. Cheers!
