Norm’s Beer and Wine, Vienna Virginia bottle: Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is spice, fruit, yeast, and more than a hint of the booze. Taste is slightly boozy. Fortunately not too sweet. Enough coriander. Nothing too exciting. Drinkable enough. Maverick34 (3239) - New York, USA - JUN 30, 2015
Bottled. Cloudy orange brown pour. Some caramel sugar and fruit. a bit over sweet. . tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAR 17, 2015
Bottle: Clear golden body with a quickly fading white head. Aroma of heavily doughy malts, baked bread, caramel, yeasty esters, honey, faint butterscotch, some very slight oxidation, perhaps a touch of clove. Flavor is a bit overly sweet; loads of honey, caramel, & bready malt sweetness. Undertones of Belgian yeast, clove, & generic spice with a blanketed finish. A touch sticky. Some oxidation comes out with warmth. Eh, kind of generic.

Appearance: Slightly hazy medium gold body with a fluffy white head that fades to a ring and leaves spotted lacing.
Aroma: There isn’t much in the aroma, but there is a sweet grain smell to it very similar to the aroma of a mash tun after mashing. I don’t pick up anything else, but it is interesting that I smell this.
Taste: Very strong caramel sweetness. It tastes a bit like a honeybun. There is a faint earthy bitterness in the end, and slightly bready. It is an interesting tasting beer and it is pretty good but it doesn’t taste much like a tripel to me.
Palate: Medium bodied but it feels thick and sweet. Pretty low in carbonation for a tripel.
Overall: I am not a fan of this beer as it relates to a tripel. It is just over-the-top with sweetness, too low in carbonation, and just feels too heavy. If you love sugary caramel glazed doughnuts or sweet honeybuns this would be right up your alley. It’s going to be hard for me to finish this beer because it is so sweet.

Opaque orange small off-white foam ring. Apple like aroma, little bitter. Quite complex taste, bitterness with sweetness of apples. Lasting aftertaste. (Efteling 201408) c_lee_burton (193) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 10, 2014
Nice Tripel with malt balance. Some hops then caramel, butterscotch, and vanilla. Dry finish that has some creaminess. BrettTaylor (776) - Radford, Virginia, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Pours a clear orange, lttle head. Aroma - banana, little bit of spice, some wheat sweetness. Taste - some sweetness, minor fruit notes, but this tastes more like a blonde than a tripel. It isn’t bad, but it is not a tripel imo. A little thin on palate. BlowOffTube (501) - Michigan, USA - APR 9, 2014
Tangerine color thin white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast clove and candi sugar. Banana some clove and candi sugar hint of caramel taste. Light to medium body light carbonation.
