On tap at Willimantic on the way home from a weekend in Boston for EBF. Pours a hazy ruby brown amber with a thin white head. Toast and sweet malt on the nose. Tap at brewpub. Deep amber-garnet coloured beer with a thin head. Aroma is quite sweet and malty. Soft toasted malts with a little bit of cocoa and caramel. Rich sweet maltiness with a light toasted rye bread character. Sweet and lightly fruity with a bit of sweet dates and plums and a hint of dried cherry. (draft) Beige head with brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, chocolate, caramel, light roast. Taste is moderately sweet, milk chocolate, roast. Smooth light-medium body, low carbonation.
