Old cleaned up notes: An adjunct ridden beer that tastes and smells like a premium lager. Considering everything else I’ve had from this brewer, this beer is a disappointment.

Pint on tap at brewpub. Grassy aroma with mild Saaz hoppiness in the nose. There are some metallic and sweet tones as well. Mildly hazy golden ciolor with a small off-white head. Light and bready/doughy start turning a bit metallic with some sourness in the end. I also get bananas and lemons in the finish as well. Ok.

4-5 oz sampler. Perfumey nose with significant hints of connamon. Like Dentyne. Not expecting this at all. Slightly hazy golden color with an off white head. Taste is EXTREMELY thin with some hints of banana and innamon. This is very watery and I dont get much wheat or cocoa in this. I am curious if this is the correct beer that I ordered...

on cask at the brew pub. Dark brown pour with a creamy beige head. Cocoa and cigar tobacco aroma. Malts also. Bittersweet cocoa flavors, with grassy wheat dominating. Tobacco is very evident, possibly some smoky malts. Very different, not sure if I like it.

From a growler, poured a dark, dark brown, with red around the edges, and a healthy tan head. Aroma is sweet smoky chocolate, caramel, toffee, and some grassiness. Flavor starts with sweet chocolate, caramel, and eases into roasted coffee and bitter chocolate. An underlying dry, grassy spiciness is present but subdued in the finish. Very tasty stuff, insanely smooth and drinkable.
