Tap at the source. Pours clear gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is Pils and cereal malt with light hops. Flavor is malt dominant with faint hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation. Dogbrick (13006) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy pale orange color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of toasted malt and mild hops. Light-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt and mild grassy hops. The finish is lightly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Decent overall. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Nearly empty, grainy aroma moves into a creamy lager feel...A little fat and lactic, not much flavor, but nonetheless well-done...

Draught pint at the brewpub on 4/29/06kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2013
Pale rusty yellow in color, light maize tones, with a small white head that shows moderate retention, little to no lacing. High clarity. Large bubbles rise slowly in the liquid.
Very husky, dry and lightly sourish malts, quite German it seems, with fresh barley and a light corn-like yeast biproduct. Bit of spicy phenols give a punchiness to it, but it’s fairly passing. On th end, a smooth doughiness helps cut some of the dry graininess and spiciness, but it’s rather blanding as well. Aroma strength is medium to medium-weak with no alcohol apparent, and only a touch of lightly spicy hops.
Some fruit sharpness is notable in the flavor initially, along with a sort of very dry biscuit-like note, with phenols and even touches of alcohol. Malt sweetness is faint, some light dough, plenty of lemon sorbet-like notes and a grassy/spicy hop finish. Water to malt ratio is very high, with very large-bubbled carbonation giving it a biting mouthfeel. Light pilsener/pale lager similarities, but too much wateriness, sharpness and bland dough notes.
Tap. Pours much darker than expected, it’s almost amber in color with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with a little bit of corn and caramel. A little yeast note in the unfiltered version they served along side the regular version. The flavor is pretty similar to the nose, but the unfiltered version is a little softer and fruitier, lessening the corn influence tasted in the filtered version. Mouthfeel is pretty similar, a touch clingy and thick with a soft fizzy carbonation level. Maybe a touch softer feel from the unfiltered version. Overall, a little bit bland and boring. A little heavier on the sweetness and darker malts than I prefer in a Cream Ale. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 19, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2009 Pours coppery with a whiet head. Smells fruity with some peppery elements splashed in. Tastes malty and fruity with some nice spicy tinges. One of the better samples I had while here. Full mouthfeel. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Straw golden body wears an honest white film. Lightly floral aroma, smooth, citrusy. Decent hop-malt balance, but at such low level of intensity, this doesn’t impress. The malts are grainy and have a raw barley feel to them. Nevertheless, it gets fairly bitter towards the finish. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 27, 2013
On draft at the brewery, very smooth and drinkable, I really like the perfect simplicity of this beer
