Growler thanks to argo0. The pour is muddy apple cider...translucent, unfiltered brownish cider color. Temporary off white head. Nose is a dichotomy between fresh pink grapefruit and big diacetyl/butter. Quite odd. I really like the fresh grapefruit component but this has a big flaw. Taste is 100% diacetyl bomb...blander with a very slick palate. Hard to get the fresh grapefruit out of the taste. Good idea...needs some fermentation temperature work probably. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Growler. Small off-white head, murky apple cider body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, orange/grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple/orange, some lemon, much more subdued than the aroma. Smooth light-medium body. BeerandBlues2 (13311) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 20, 2011
Growler shared by argo0. Pours hazy yellow/orange with a small, fizzy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is yeast, bread and biscuit malt, citrus hops, earthy with light fruity esters. Flavor is bread and biscuit malt, citrus, lightly sour, fruity esters and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, medium retention. Travlr (24745) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 20, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2011 Growler courtesy of argo0 and his lovely wife, thank you both! Cloudy yellow, medium white head that settles quickly to an edge. Nice citrus and pine aroma. Taste is light citrus without much sourness. Aroma is much better than the flavor, but overall it’s not bad. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - OCT 9, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Slightly footy off lacto aroma with confused fruit. Footy, yeasty messy citrus melange. Tangy. Some orange flavor. An unfortunate experiment.
